The Portfolio Edition is the final rendition of my photobook "Here, in Absence" and a satisfying object to hold. Only five copies are made.
Inside you will find the numbered and signed first edition of "Here, in Absence" (IIKKI Books, France, 2024). The first edition was sold out prior to the 2nd edition in late 2024. I held on to five copies of the 1st edition to produce this collectible set. The book was shortlisted for Prix Nadar in 2024 and received a special mention in the Finnish Photobook Award 2024.
From the book I have chosen six prints that present various aspects of the collection. Each toned silver gelatin print is reversibly mounted on archival board and protected with soft kozo sheets. The clamshel box is handmade (by me) using intense red bookbinding cloth and strong archival board.
